UF Women in High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a proud chapter of the international Women in HPC (WHPC) organization, aiming to promote the role and participation of women in HPC and AI fields. Our goal is to encourage women’s participation in HPC and AI, provide mentoring opportunities and resources for academic studies and career development for female students and staff, and build a strong professional network for developing a diverse workforce.
WHPC SCHOLARSHIP
A National Science Foundation grant (PI: Dr. Emma Mackie) in support of WHPC offers an exceptional opportunity for undergraduate students. It provides financial and computer resources to a team of students to conduct a research project in HPC and AI related topics using HiPerGator system.
We are excited to announce the scholarship winning team for 2024. The team members are:

Noah Jones (College of Medicine) serves as the team mentor. The project title is “A Functional and Statically Typed Framework for Correctness and Scalability Implemented in Haskell.”
