Maintenance Schedule - May 2024
HiPerGator Network Maintenance, May 6th at 7:00 am
UFIT Research Computing staff will be upgrading the main network switch connecting HiPerGator to the rest of the UF network on Monday, May 6th, starting at 7:00 am. The replacement will cause a short network outage between HiPerGator and the outside networks for up to one hour. The jobs running on HiPerGator that do not require connectivity to the outside will not be affected. You may have to re-establish any network connections (ssh sessions, web interfaces, samba drive mounts) afterward.
HiPerGator Blue Storage Maintenance, May 8th at 7:00 am
UFIT Research Computing staff will apply maintenance updates to the /blue storage system on Wednesday, May 8th, starting at 7:00 am. These updates should have minimal customer-facing impacts, though users may see some slowness lasting for a couple of minutes as services migrate among servers.
HiPerGator Home Storage Maintenance, May 9th at 7:00 am
The storage system that hosts home directories and applications will be updated on Thursday, May 9th, starting at 7:00 am. This will be a hardware refresh for this system and will bring improved performance and capacity to /home and /apps. The maintenance is expected to be mostly transparent to users, though there may be some momentary slowness and seconds of unavailability.
